FPV steht für Fist Person View und bedeutet, dass wir ein Livebild unserer selbst gebauten Renndrohnen oder auch Kopter genannt, auf eine Videobrille übertragen bekommen.

Diese Renndrohnen werden von uns über einen Racetrack manövriert, welcher natürlich in kürzester Zeit absolviert werden muss. Hier erleben wir fesselnde Kopf an Kopf rennen und haben eine menge Spaß dabei.

Durch die Videobrille kommt es uns so vor, als säßen wir selbst vorne im Cocpit und rasen mit Geschwindigkeiten bis zu 200kmh über die Rennstrecke. Ein absoluter Adrenalin Kick!

Gesteuert werden die Kopter über eine Fernsteuerung, im Hobbyjargon Funke genannt.

Eine Standard Größe in unserem Sport sind 5“ Kopter. Diese erreichen auch die vorher genannten Geschwindigkeiten. Aber das Hobby bietet noch viele weitere Größen und Formen.

Gerne werden auch gerade in der Wintersaison kleinere Kopter in Hallen und sogar Wohnungen und Häusern geflogen. Durch SuS Schaag haben wir die Möglichkeit, einen Riesigen Fußballplatz zur Rennstrecke umzufunktionieren, zu trainieren und unserer Leidenschaft zu frönen. Strom und Lagermöglichkeiten sind ebenfalls vor Ort.
